Congratulations to Dave Palmer, who was presented with his 50 year NODA medal by the South West Area Regional Councillor, Geraldine Branton, at the Civic Reception for CRAZY FOR YOU in June this year. Dave’s contribution to CODS has been amazing; it is no mean feat to have been a NODA member and a member of the same society for fifty years! He has supported CODS in all manner of ways and most recently has been one of the Society’s top ticket sellers. Well done Dave!
"This version of Thoroughly Modern Millie sends up the 1967 film, rather then reproducing it and Daphne Herbert's direction allowed here actors' own interpretations to emerge whilst guiding them through the story."
"It was carried smoothly along by a very talented line up of principles, an extremely strong company and a slick, quiet stage crew."
"The whole company worked well together to create a colourful and thoroughly enjoyable show."
"This talented cast, under the experienced direction of Mike Barwick, pulled it off with pace and realism..."
"There are times when you know you are going to have really enjoyable evening's theatre before you even get there. That's how I felt on the way to this production, and I was not disappointed."
"Ben Perkins excelled at the lead role...the French Officer Chauvelin was fittingly loathsome and Marguerite's despair perfectly summed up..."
"...the Director achieved a very humorous and thoroughly convincing piece of theatre."
