See How They Run…….is a traditional comic farce set in wartime Britain.
It’s 1943 and at the vicarage of an Oxfordshire village, one of the parishioners is complaining to the vicar about the latest ‘outrages’ of Penelope Toop, former actress and now the vicar’s wife. Later, whilst the vicar is out for the evening, Penelope has a visit from Lance-Corporal Clive Winton, an old friend from her acting days. He is not the only visitor to turn up that evening and thus begins a whole series of misunderstandings and confusion and chaos quickly ensues, culminating in a cycle of running figures; most of them dressed as clergy!
