Opening Times - The Box Office at the Everyman is open Mon-Sat 9.30am-8.30pm (or until 6pm in August) and from 2 hours before the performance on Sunday.
The Plot
The Wizard of Oz is a charming play based on the popular L.Frank Baum stories and was made famous by the 1939 film starring Judy Garland . The lead character Dorothy, and her dog Toto are caught in a tornado's path and are whisked away to the magical land of Oz. Here she meets some memorable friends such as The Tin Man, The Cowardly Lion and The Scarcrow. Dorothy and Toto also encounter The Wicked Witch of the West who is looking to revenge the death of her sister The Wicked Witch of the East. We follow the band of friends on their journey to meet the Wizard of Oz who everyone says can help her return home and possibly grant her new friends their goals of a brain, heart and courage.
This is a wonderful musical featuring well known and loved songs such as "Somewhere Over The Rainbow" and "We're Off To See The Wizard".
